Presenter Wanted: How To Build A Chromecast Application
Updated: Thanks to the Amazon team, they have stepped in to fill this slot with a presentation on “Top Tips for Getting Your Android Apps Running on Amazon Fire TV“.
The presenter for our “How To Build A Chromecast Application” taking place May 12th, at the Streaming Media East show in NYC, had to cancel. I would still like to keep this presentation topic at the show so please contact me if you’d like to take over the presentation spot. Here is a description of what the presenter was planing to cover:
How To: Building A Chromecast Application
This session will cover the entire Chromecast application workflow, including registering your app and developing, debugging, and publishing it. Attendees will learn how the Chromecast user model works and learn more about the design principles of the platform. Get insights into the sender and receiver technology, which displays the content and metadata, and the mobile device or laptop, which controls the playback. Finally, using HTML5 and JavaScript, attendees will see how easy it is to build a simple video player and, using Chromecast SDK, fling the content to receiver.
