Lessons From Phase Three of The CDN Federation Pilot
On Monday May 20th, at the Content Delivery Summit in NYC, Francois Le Faucheur, Distinguished Engineer, Service Provider Video Technology Group at Cisco, will introduce the “CDN Federation Pilot” project under which leading service providers worldwide and pureplay CDNs have been implementing a large-scale, multi-phased initiative to plan, deploy, and test an open CDN federation pilot.
The first phase of the CDN Federation Pilot proved the concept of a CDN federation and its essential capabilities while the second phase investigated enhanced capabilities across the federation. This presentation will provide an update on the pilot progress and the lessons learnt from the third and final phase, which expanded the ecosystem of participants to also include pureplay CDNs and exchange providers.
Now in its fifth year, the Content Delivery Summit is a one-day conference designed to bring together telecom carriers, service providers, content owners, and industry vendors for a detailed look at CDN platforms for the delivery of video and content acceleration.
